Rise of the Temple
Design
The temple complex occupies a rectangular area measuring 135′ x 71′ and is surrounded by a 7′ high compound wall. The schematic below depicts the arrangement of different sannidhis and deities within this complex.
Outside dimensions of the shrine of the Presiding Deity Sri Kasi Viswanathaswamy are 13’9” x 13’9” x 40’. The inside garbhagriham measuring 9′ x 9′ houses the majestic Lingam of the following size: Diameter 4’6″, Aavudaiyar projection 1’6″ and total height 4’6″. Idols of Narthana Vinayakar, Dakshinamurthy, Lingodhbhavar, Brahma, and Durga are installed in their appropriate places on the outside walls of this Shiva Shrine as per Agama Shastra.
In addition to the main Lingam and the other idols mentioned above, other deities installed in the temple complex are: Idols of Kasi Visalakshi Amman, Kanni Moolai Ganapathy, Subrahmanyar with Valli and Devasena, Gajalakshmi and Saraswathi, Anjaneyar, Ashtabhuja Kali, Chandikeswarar, Bhairavar, Suryan, Chandran, as well as the Navagraha Mandapam.
The complex also includes a spacious madappalli, store, office, bore well, and overhead water storage tank.

Bhoomi Puja
Bhoomi Puja for the Shiva temple complex was performed on 29th November, 2009.
Kumbhabhishekam
Yantra Puja commenced on February 6th, 2012.
The Maha Kumbhabhishekam for the entire temple complex was performed on Thursday, May 31, 2012 on a grand scale, adhering to the Agama Sastras, comprising of the following schedule:
May 28, 2012 – Start of Yaga Shala Puja
May 29,30 – Yaga Shala Puja continued
May 31, 2012 (7:45 am – 8:15 am) – Maha Kumbhabhishekam Ceremony
Panchanga Specification – Nandana Varsham, 18th day of the month of Vaikasi, Shukla Paksham, Dasami Thithi, Hastha Nakshathram, Kataka Lagnam, Siddha Yogam
